Review
This was our first family, booked as part of my partners Birthday weekend. My partner assured me that Cleethorpes would be fine for our 6 month old given that it is a relatively short drive away and had everything we could need for a seaside visit. We booked a standard caravan for a long weekend break and I was slightly concerned by some of the other reviews on Trip Advisor. However, I needn’t have worried at all. The resort was fantastic. We all had a brilliant time and our 6 month old loved every minute of it....... To our detriment because he refused to sleep at night. On the whole, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Thorpe Park and will definitely be making a return. Please don’t let other peoples ridiculous comments like needing wellies and what not put you off. In the park the roads are fine and easily accessible.
If I were to give anyone some advice, take cleaning equipment (washing up liquid, tea towel, sponge etc).
Two thumbs wayyyyyyy up for the staff who were all friendly, polite and very helpful.
Thank you all the staff for a fantastic first family holiday.
We had a lovely get away. Caravan was immaculate and this camp is doing its very best to accommodate everyone. It was a little frustrating that some facilities were only open to owners, although this was reflected in the ' Hideaway' guidance and price, so I completely get it. However, the bars and swimming facilities only open to owners were so quiet, others could've been allowed in to use them through a booking system. One night we were actually in the bar (non-owners allowed in after 9pm) whilst owners were playing bingo - there was no reason why we couldn't play too.
All of that said, we had a lovely break and would recommend to anyone. Great location, lovely walks by the sea. Thoroughly enjoyed the 'new normal'.
